I know LA is a fucking super star, but have you guys been watching G.O.? He's not playing very many minutes but he's been kicking absolute ass in those limited minutes. His stat line tonight was 10 mins, 5 pts 5 tbs, modest yes, but he's being very active and disruptive out there (as we all remember G.O. could do). But that's the most he's gotten yet. If Oden stays healthy... Miami man. Holy shit. (I wish we'd re-signed him).
He plays every 5 games and plays 6-10 min. His knees are still jacked. He'll never be healthy enough to play a significant role other than the spurts he's been getting.
Good point. His knees are an absolute mess. When he still had his knees though I think there's absolutely no question Oden crushes Durant. That's nuts.
I'm glad we didn't hang onto him. It would be a total distraction wondering when he can and cannot play. Good luck to him in Miami but I'm glad we're rid of him.
I love GO but his time in Portland is over. Trying to make his comeback here would have just dredged up bad memories for all parties involved and when he eventually gets injured again it would have just been blamed on the training staff or whatever. He's in a good situation in Miami. I hope he can make it back but those knees will always give him trouble. It's tragic. I hate that this generation of the NBA was robbed of so many elite players because of injuries.
Nope, I'm happy with the talent we have on this roster right now. Once CJ fully develops, the league is in trouble!
Once CJ fully develops Wes and LMA will be old men. Assuming you prescribe to the idea that a players prime happens around 27-30
All Greg has to do is help them in the playoffs. He can do that in 10 min a game. If they can keep him healthy for the playoffs, they got a heck of a deal.
It is kind of nice to see GO play (although it won't be when the Trailblazers and Miami meet!), but it is nicer to have moved on from the GO/Roy era. It just was not meant to be I guess.
