Kudos to his mom. Shows he has the right parents and the right parental upbringing. I have a new found respect for Steph.
Looking at the length of time in here that you are the rookie. You're gonna find that I can always back up what I say. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...n-state-warriors-scolded-mom-profane-outburst
Don't take it personal Lanny. He's only saying that when you talk about a story you've read, post the link.... Rook!
Really?? I mean... Really?? He said something any adult would say. It's my fucking house. Does that really need scolding?? GTFO... Like I said, I'da told my boy "IT'S YOUR FUCKING HOUSE!!!" Guess I'm raising him wrong...
I wouldn’t say it and I’m an adult. However if he wants to say it that is his choice I guess, and if you want to teach your kid to say it that’s also your choice. I personally won’t be teaching my kids to speak that way, but hey they’ll figure it out without my help. How they choose to talk will ultimately be their choice.
Steph is a grown man. I’m sure this has more to do with his family being super Christian more than anything but yeah, it’s not a big deal. That’s called being competitive and being in the moment. He shouldn’t apologize for it and his mom shouldn’t scold him for it like he’s some child
I don't have a link but I read a study that children who have parents cuss around them turn out more intelligent. It's proven science.
For the record when googling this you find a few small studies that psychiatrists suggest swearing helps with language skills and expressing emotions, and a lot of the studies were of college kids and seem to assume a lot of things. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but I think it’s a ways away from a proven science. Anyways parent you kids the way you think is best in 20 years they’ll tell you, you did it all wrong anyways.
Yeah, my post wasn't meant to be taken that seriously. I did really read a study that said that though.
But he was in a game that just so happens to be on national tv. So anything within the game is going to be captured on camera. It's the western conference finals. I think it's fine
Just so happens to be?? He knows he's on TV in a live event and does it anyway. These players are paid a lot because of money made from games on national TV. They can choose not to curse. Disrespectful if they don't. What about the kids in the arena sitting a few feet away from him? Dame swears too but I still think it's bad form.
They are adults and most people watching are adults and those kids you mention hear a lot worse whether it be from their own movies, parents, or youtube videos, friends, etc.
