Four different players scored goals and nine different players registered points in a 4-3 win for the Denver Cutthroats over the Bloomington Blaze on Tuesday in front of 1,792 at US Cellular Coliseum.

Glen Cacaro's first of the season proved to be the game-winner when his wrist shot from the top of the left circle banked off the post just 56 seconds into the third period. AJ Gale, Brett Lutes, and Ben Wilson each tallied a two-point night for the Cutthroats (20-15-4). With the win the Fish jump in front of the Blaze (20-16-1) by one point for fourth place in the Central Hockey League standings.

Phil Tesoriero opened up the game's scoring with a backhand shot from the slot at 3:17 of the first. Wilson then buried a slap shot from the point with 4:53 remaining before Nicklas Linderberg put the Blaze on the board just over a minute later.

Brad Smyth deflected a Brett Lutes shot at 13:38 of the second for the Fish in between goals by Dan Barczuk and Steve Makway on the power play each for Bloomington in the middle frame to knot the score at 3-3. Smyth's goal gives the Cutthroats a power play goal in each of their last three games.

Kent Patterson stabilized the back end for Denver stopping 37 of 40 shots for his 12th win of the season. Pier-Olivier Pelletier took the loss for Bloomington, stopping 32.

Denver finished 1-for-3 on the power play. Bloomington went 1-for-4.

The Cutthroats start a three-game weekend on Friday when they visit the Missouri Mavericks. Game time is set for 6:05 PM MST.

    Three Stars:

    1. Ben Wilson (DEN)

    2. Nicklas Lindberg (BLM)

    3. AJ Gale (DEN)
