<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ballerman2112 @ Nov 25 2006, 04:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Devin Harris from what I saw didnt play that well. He had at least 3 turnovers in the second half that I noticed and he didnt score either...Maybe he played good in the first half.</div>Yeah Harris had a lot of turnovers but he kept Parker in front of him for most of the game and drew 2 charges. He shot 4-8 and 1-2 from 3 point range. Dirk was awesome as usual.

<span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">I was nervous when Tim Duncan was shooting the three freethrows. I have never been so nervous for a player that isn't from the Nets before... Timmy surprised me when he made all three freethrows.Anyway, in the end, Spurs got screwed over! Dirk fouled Finley like crazy. The refs were on some B.S. or something. They didn't call that foul at all.</span>

I thought about it more and watched the play a few more times and Dirk really didnt foul him. Dirk just put his hands up and stood his ground. It was more that Finley moved way to close to him, I actually thought it was a heads up play by Dirk to get that close to him and disrupt his shot like that without fouling him.

I'd like to add that the last play of the game that Pop drew up probably didnt go to plan like it was drawn up. You have a Tim Duncan shooting a 3 to tie the game and then a Finely who had only played 6 total minutes and shot the ball once shooting the last shot. I bet those weren't the 1st two options on the play. Also, I'm the 1st to say that Dirk fouled Finely, BUT before we shot the ball. All that would of happened was Spurs shooting 2 foul shots. IF anything, that foul would of hurt the Spurs and helped the Mavs. If the foul is called, then the Spurs lose by on free throws by the Mavs. There would of been only like 6 seconds or so left on the clock after the foul would of been called. Mavs would of wasted about another second passing the ball in. That leaves about let's say 4 seconds. The Spurs have no more Timeouts, so they couldn't of advanced the ball to halfcourt to get a better shot. Mavs could of missed the 2nd free throw on purpose and had the Spurs scrambling more than they would of. Lets see about how it went though, they actually had a chance to make the basket to tie the game. In MY opinion, that game the Spurs a better chance of winning than calling the foul.

I'm still wondering if anyone else saw Manu wearing thigh pads in his tights last night. I dont believe that is a common practice in the NBA. Wonder if he has some kind of injury or if he wears them since he thinks he dives all over the hardcourt. Wonder who else wears them. ANYONE have ANY info on this?

"We're at a point where we are trying to create a state of the art thigh pads and knee pads that have a cushion around it that really absorbs," said Heat head coach Pat Riley of O'Neal's injury. "Just a regular sponge knee pad doesn't do it anymore."

I have no information about the pads thing, but I do have some notes about the last minute of the game...Mavs do not win if: Dirk Nowitzki doesn't hit the shot with 45 seconds to go.Spurs do not lose if: Robert Horry gets his 3 a little bit more to the left.Spurs relief: When Dirk Nowitzki's first free throw seemed to be going out.Mavs relief: When Horry missed the 3 (confirmed by Terry, who basically said he was just praying Horry wouldn't make the 3)Foul complaints:-Travel by Dirk (ALMOST a travel, not a travel)If it was a travel, there would only be about 2 more seconds on the shot clock.-Foul from beyond ark to send Timmy to the line: Hey, in real-time, maybe it just looked to the ref like a foul, although it wasn't-Finley not being sent to the line at the end of the game: The Spurs had one 10 seconds earlier, and not to mention, Finley just threw that thing up there, and if there was a foul, Finley would've only shot two free throws, which other people already said, because Dirk fouled Fin before the 3 point attempt.-When you knew the game was over: When Horry missed the 3, a Spurs player collected the offensive board, but it seemed too late for Spurs as they were in too much desperation-Under pressure/clutch play: When Dirk hit both free throws, showing why he's 91% on them.
