Damian Lillard, aka Dame DOLLA, helped kick off this week by dropping a new rap song, entitled “Tell Me Why” (over Jadakiss’ hit “Why?”), on his SoundCloud page. Lillard continues to prove, single by single, that he is the best rapper in the NBA. In case you missed it, Lillard previously spit bars on Conan and Sway In The Morning, as well as over Kanye and Common’s beat “The Food” and Future’s “F*ck Up Some Commas.” This new track also features Lillard’s childhood friend V.I.P. Give it a listen above and stay tuned for more, as we’re sure we haven’t seen or heard the last of Dame DOLLA. http://www.slamonline.com/media/sla...-over-jadakiss-why-audio/#ZIMEgjVuaO2ux7gB.97
1. I do know what spits means. 2. That was the title of the Slam article. 3. I once rapped at a De La Soul concert when they passed the mic thru the crowd. I am, have been, and always will be on fleek.
Sly is so old he once delivered pizza to Boogie Down Productions...... Sly is so old he once bought an ORIGINAL copy of the Incredible Bongo Band to sample it. Sly is so old..... sorry, ran out of ideas. I'm not that creative.
!00% true. Last night at the Bite about 7-8 years back. (Why in the hell they were playing the Bite is beyond me but they were there and I had previously seen them twice in concert, one of my favorite hip hop groups of all time.) Anyways, they started playing Buddy off their first album, 3ft high and rising. My friend and I had forced our way to the very front of the stage. POS held down the mic for the (Say What?) group part of the intro, people all around me and I was the only one who knew what to say. Meany, meany, meany, meany (Say What?) Meany, meany, meany, meany (Say What?) Meany, meany, meany, meany, mean..... Meany, meany, meany, meany (Say What?) Meany, meany, meany, meany (Say What?) Meany, meany, meany, meany, meany...... Again, he continues to hold down the mic after the Meany, meany, meany, meany part and I am the only one who knows the fucking song and knows what to say. He then hands me the mic and I, in my white boy glory, rap the next verse of the song. Hello it's the Soul... Trooping in with the Jungle patrol And this one's about the KO's the knockouts out there Who's holdin' my buddy Hold up As soon as I finish he puts his hand out for the mic, I give it to him and then he reaches down for me to give him 5. It was fucking awesome! I rapped at a rap concert! And I really don't give two shits if you believe it or not.
I got to admit that beats most of my heavy metal concerts. But I was usually on a lot of acid back then so recollections are hazy.
I just realized that a lot of you don't know who POS is. I wasn't calling the guy a Piece Of Shit, lol. Kelvin Mercer (born August 17, 1969,[1] in The Bronx, New York) is a rapper, producer, and one-third of the hip hop trio De La Soul. He is known more famously by his alias Posdnuos, or simply Pos. He was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in East Massapequa, New York.[2]
Great story Sly, saw De La Soul last year at Sasquatch! overlooking the gorge on a sunny afternoon. Midday fade FTW.
Yup! it was epic. They mentioned how the NW was into their music well before the rest of the country. Thought that was cool.
I sat Indian style on stage during the last few songs of a Slayer concert. I was up front for most of the show, and the monitors kept getting unplugged, and I kept plugging them back in, so I guess I was in good with the roadies who were chasing stage divers and protecting equipment. I got nailed in the back of the knee by a pile of crashing bodies spilling over from the pit and jacked my knee up, and I hopped onto the stage to keep it from getting hurt even worse. I was going to try and get back off the stage when I kind of fell back on my butt, and ended up sitting there for the rest of the show. I got a high five and a pick from Tom Araya, a drumstick from Tom Lombardo, and a pick from Kerry King...
Did you know they're coming out with a new album in September? They did it through Kickstarter... I'm soooooooooooooooooooo excited to get it!!!
Yes I did! Did you get all of their albums when they released them for free download last Valentine's Day?
No... and it's only because I'm a frickin' dumb ass. I had the link but didn't download in time and missed out. Want to share with me? I ordered the Pos flashdrive, I wish I had been able to afford all three!
True... but on a different note... I have actually watched your Portland Trailblazers win a championship. BOOM!
