What’s the story? After announcing his departure from Impact Wrestling earlier this month, the former Damien Sandow spoke on the ‘X-Pac 12360’ podcast and discussed his future plans. The Background Just under a year ago, in May of 2016, Sandow was released from his WWE contract despite being one of the most popular performers on the roster. From there, he joined TNA in August and performed under the ring name, Aron Rex. Although this seemed like a great signing for the company, Rex didn’t have the impact (no pun intended) that he or the TNA management would have been hoping for. That’s not to say his run was a complete failure, he certainly had his moments and garnered the desired interest in the TNA brand when he first debuted with them, but it was ultimately a brief stint with the company that recently came to an end after just eight months.
