__________________ . Fill in the blank with whatever derogatory term you think fits. I actually liked this guy on Talkin Ball and thought he would be a fairly respectable replacement for Bunker who I thought was great. Now? This guys is a train wreck. Did his parents ever teach him about interupting people? Does he have to argue every single opinion? Does he listen to constructive criticism? Does he understand the poor negative public image that he is creating for himself? The only time he is tolerable is when he gets a strong personality who isnt intimidated by him. Even then he doesn't shut his mouth. I'm sure they gave him a nice little contract so they aren't gonna dump him anytime soon, but my hope is that it isnt longer then a year. Went from Bunker and Danforth which was far and away the best combo on sports talk radio for true Blazer fans to this complete blowhard. Can't believe that he didn't play a big part in the resignation (firing) of Danforth. Hope Sheldon goes down in flames, not just with Rip City Radio but Comcast as well.
What part do you not understand? My thread is about Dan Sheldon being a very poor radio host for Rip City Radio. I gave everyone who chooses to, to agree or disagree.
What does that have to do with him being a good radio host or not? He will be judged by ratings, not how many people cook him fish.
You cant come up with a more intelligent response? What about this post would lead you to believe that I am drinking and intoxicated by alcohol?
I don't listen to him, I just saw pictures of people cooking him fish on twitter. Thought it was a bit odd.
You just made him as famous as he'll ever be. His name in flashing lights (or a lame message board forum).
I agree with your take on the guy, but I couldn't help reading it in Danforth's voice.....usually first posters say hello....didn't know what to make of the thread Red
Judging by the conversation I have read on the board I guess I didn't realize that being polite and saying hello was something that took place all that often. My first post has been responded to with such respectful replies, ha ha. I couldn't really give a shit, but it does seem funny when you bring up saying hello. Anyway, in the words of Uncle Leo, "Hello!"
Hi red head, frankly I find him a big improvement. I couldn't really stand Danforth, and Bunker was even worse.
Good one. I actually don't mind him as the guy on Talkin Ball. He gets kept way in check because of the experienced group of people around him- Jaynes, Grof, etc. It's when he is the lead with a guy who doesn't have the experience to keep him under control. He's like a bully. I think these big ego guys who have done this forever want to make sure the guy next to them is "under there control" thus Hurd is perfect for Colbabro. The difference is Sheldon just isn't that good.
Rip City Radio cant afford to give anyone a nice contract and he doesn't have the resume to deserve one. They can easily fire him, anytime they want. Hopefully its soon. I agree with your post/option of him. He's bad.
On August 1st, the producer (Kirk) mentioned that August was national catfish month, and discussion ensued regarding whether catfish was "good eating". The topic was rehashed multiple times over the next couple weeks, until one listener ("Jake the Hater") who is also a classically trained chef offered to come in studio and prepare some catfish for Dan so he could provide an informed opinion thereupon.
