In 2007, the mogul publicly accused the Clintons of being liars and threw his support behind Barack Obama, but this election year he's staying neutral.

David Geffen isn't backing anyone in the presidential race for now.

The music mogul revealed to The Wall Street Journal that he is not throwing his support behind either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Records reported by the paper show that he has given $2,700 to each candidate, the maximum donation an individual can give directly to a primary campaign.

In 2007, Geffen publicly accused the Clintons of being liars and threw his support behind Barack Obama. But this election year, he's staying neutral. "I am not supporting anybody," he said in an email to the Journal.

Mr. Geffen says. “Yet another time when the Clintons were unwilling to stand for the things that they genuinely believe in. Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it’s troubling."

And yet he donated to her campaign. Very curious.

Well hell, how will anyone know who to vote for if the billionaires can't choose one for us?

I'm sure he had to do some soul searching before letting that 2700 bucks loose by the way. He probably denied one of his maids a raise so Hillary could get dat money.

He donated $2700 to both campaigns. In 2008, he raised $18M for Obama.

So make as big a deal about the $2700 as you want. Ho ho ho.

Ok. I think it is a little weird to donate money (even a trivial amount of money) to someone you don't want to win.

I won't be donating to Ted Cruz, for example.

But, it's a free country and it's his money.

He wants a democrat to win. He donated $2700 to Sanders, too.

Maybe he feels guilty about being so rich.

That's not only sent from a phone we've probably never heard of, it's from a reality that doesn't exist too.

Didn't Bernie say he would turn down donations from billionaires?

The $2700 amount can hardly be argued as a bribe.

Agree on Biden. Dude would have totally won. He's not a total nutjob like the others.

Cruz and Sanders are too extreme. Of the possibles I think Clinton and trump have the best shots

Pretty sure this makes him a liar.
