When the Orioles designated Delmon Young for assignment last week they seemed to think finding a taker for him via trade was likely, but that apparently didn’t pan out and now they’ve released him. Young is still just 29 years old despite seemingly being around forever, but he’s a terrible defensive corner outfielder and doesn’t hit enough to make up for it. This season he batted .270 with two homers and a .628 OPS in 52 games for the Orioles and Young has a combined .708 OPS in 513 games since what looked like a breakout season for the Twins in 2010. - See more at:http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/09/delmon-young-released-by-the-orioles/
