I have loved Rodman since I was a kid. The guy has been through some hard shit. I always admired how he was a total introvert and shy dude. One day he say fuck this shit and reinvented himself. Gave no fucks anymore what people thought of him.
I was in Huntington Beach, CA on a business trip, in 2003, & took the employees of one of my largest accounts at the time (Wheel Power) out for dinner at this dope li'l Korean BBQ spot. One of the dudes in our group had just turned 21 that day and, as you can imagine, everyone was feeding him drinks. Needless to say, he got pretty fucked-up... and in a HURRY. That said, he didn't do anything dumb, he just quietly put his head down on the table & passed-out while the rest of us ate, laughed, & reminisced about our respective 21st birthdays. Fast forward like 20-30 minutes & in comes Rodman & his cronies. They sat directly across the aisle from our table & almost instantly started engaging with us. At first, everything seemed cool, we were all joking around & BS'ing. After about 15 minutes, Rodman stands up & announces that he's "gonna go take a piss." As he starts to walk away, he suddenly pauses, grabs a glass of ice water off of our table, reaches across all of our plates while we're eating our dinner & dumps the glass of water on the Birthday Boy's head.
Oh, he absolutely knew! We'd been laughing and joking about it, since we started conversing with them. He literally just decided that he was going to be a dick. That said, once I popped to my feet & snapped the bottom of my Asahi bottle off on the edge of the table, he knew he'd fucked up...
Idk. I mean it is messed up but not as messed up as I thought it might be. I thought he was going to piss on him or something. I've seen people do much worse things. Like drawing a giant dick on someones face with a permanent marker.
