Awfully nice of him. McGregor gets to jump the queue at lightweight despite having no victories in that weight class. RDA and Ferguson are fighting leaving Nurmagomedov to sit and spin in the meantime. If he does vacate an Aldo/Holloway title fight makes sense. Making Aldo the undisputed champion without having to fight (again) would be terrible. And what of Donald Cerrone? He is currently a free agent.
Bellator has offered Cowboy a $350k/fight contract. That's a major upgrade from his UFC contract. He's a fan favorite, but has choked on the big stage. I could see th UFC not matching that contract. Conor should vacate and KO Eddie. Aldo would just get KO'd again. No way he beats McGoat. He won't be able to eat the shots that McGoat will land.
I agree aldo likely gets ko'd again, but id like to see it. A lot of Aldo fans still think it was a flash KO and wouldnt happen again. Would be interesting. Those guys seem to have good chemistry together in prefight shenanigans too.
I suspect we will see Conor at 155. I don't see him ever making the cut to FW again. Cerrone will re-sign with the UFC. Supposedly he met with Ari Emmanuel after his bout with Rick Story. He is one of the few guys that can headline a Fight Night and move tickets.
If conor fights at 155, alvarez gameplan the same as he did with pettis? Khabib will ragdoll conor. But id like to see conor against alvarez, el cucuy, rda, and cowboy.
Kavanaugh doesn't see the point in Conor dropping back to 145 to fight Aldo again. Its all risk no reward for him. He says Frankie didn't hold up his end of the bargain and get the FW shot. McGoat's already beat Aldo and Holloway, too. He also says its just not interesting or fair to the division. Conor is too powerful for the division and the division has no more to offer Conor. He says that even though he thinks Conor should fight Alvarez @ 155, he can see Conor going back to 145 just to spite him and prove him wrong.
