The Arizona Diamondbacks are trying to trade second baseman Aaron Hill, according to league sources.

Hill, 33, is entering the final year of his contract, where he is scheduled to earn $12 million.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported that the Diamondbacks were trying to move a second baseman, which could possibly free them up to sign free agent Howie Kendrick. Signing Kendrick would result in the Diamondbacks parting with their second draft pick of the offseason.
