right after Nurk went to the floor and all the players moved away from him, the short ref stepped over Nurk and tripped over Nurk's injured foot? He took a couple more steps and the other ref said something to him. Then he looked back at Nurk without any kind of reaction. Seemed pretty unprofessional, especially given the circumstances.
I swear if you're a troll you are going to rue the day. Otherwise welcome. Yes, we have discussed this in the Nurk injury thread. Referee Tyler Ford. Very unprofessional and against protocol. He should be suspended. You don't kick a guy who just broke his leg while he is down, accident or not. It disturbed me further, that after ref Josh Tiven, who saw that Nurk was seriously injured and seemed concerned, approached Ford and mentioned Nurks gruesome injury, and Ford with aquick glance back shrugged it off and kept walking seemingly unconcerned.
Last night I thought it was a bad time to get into this convo. Today though Im at the anger part of the grief process lol. What were those refs doing all night last night???? Not that they “did it”, but my goodness the FT disparity most of that game was a huge joke, and Dudley was being a cheap dirty player in those OT’s. Only a play or two before that he rolled up Nurk and I thought he may have hurt Nurk then. Whenever Nurk jumped go back and watch Dudley was NOT giving him room to land and the refs did NOTHING, and that is precisely how Nurk got hurt , dudley slid under him for the umpteenth. The refs seemed to have no intentions of controlling that game, Nurk couldve hurt his knee earlier, Carroll couldve hurt Dame at the end of that and then Dudley did hurt Nurk. Again I dont think Dudley meant to hurt Nurk, but the refs cant let a guy get away with that play all night or he’ll keep doing it.
My curiosity is killing me, I want to look at the video and see this to fuel my ref hatred, but I just can’t watch the video again. I let out a horrified, audible gasp when I watched the video late last night.
I would welcome a troll with that much dedication and foresight. The trolls we get here are pretty much rinse and repeat the same old BS.
There is a video after the fall that shows it in a loop. He walks towards Nurk. He drops his whistle in front of Nurk and bends down to grab it. He then moves forward running into Nurk's foot. He appears to actually kick it. He then steps over Nurk. He walks several feet before ref Josh Tiven intercepts him. It appears Tiven is wondering why he did that and is asking Ford, also relaying Nurks injury which to the astonishment of his fellow ref he seems not to have noticed. Ford removes all doubt when he looks over his shoulder, shrugs, and then continues to walk away unconcerned for his actions or Nurks injury.
As far as Silver is concerned Ford is a professional and diligent official who is doing fantastic work
Not a troll, I just wasn't on here last night and when I skimmed through the other threads I didn't see it discussed. I wouldn't have started a new thread if I had seen it. Just wanted to see if anyone else saw the same thing I did.
Man don’t listen to these guys. It’s kinda my job to look after the newbies. Pay these guys no mind. Welcome.
That Ref should get pelted with shit if they ever let him officiate in Portland again, I’m very serious. That was the most low class shit I’ve seen in the NBA. If you can’t notice a compound fracture on a guy screaming in pain why the fuck would I trust you to be making any calls in a game?
Dude had his back to Nurk. Whatever happened beforehand happened, but on the play he was injured, it was just a fluke play
