http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/...-jimmy-butler-derrick-rose-building-animosity Tons of potential headaches for the rookie coach. Rose and Team Rose, still smarting from the org smear from years back, wanting to play hero ball and earn that next contract vs Butler, who was the better player last season and wants to further establish himself as a top player in the league, and perhaps be trying to earn a huge contract himself. Also, it looks like the Jen Swanson approach has perhaps led to some resentment on the team between the guys allowed to sit out practice and the guys who were working hard. It looks like the culture of hard work and winning that Thibs instilled, undermined last year by the front office will continue to fade away. What it will be replaced by, who knows, but it looks like Gasol and Butler want the coddling that Rose and Noah got from Jen and the Org. Yeeesh. Its a snake pit that Freddy is putting himself in. He may be yearning for the cornfields by December. Hopefully not.

I'm inclined to believe Rose was hurting from the game 5 injury. His wrist hurt enough to affect his shot, and he knew better to get the ball to the guy with the better chance to make the shots. However, the tension angle is being reported in multiple places from multiple sources.
Wins in the Paxson era, minus Thibs: 23, 47, 41, 49, 33, 41, 41 Average 39. Not even a .500 team. Four 1st round exits, once to the 2nd round. In the terrible Eastern Conference where 35 wins might get you a playoff seed. Love how he righted that ship. Thibodeau: 62, 50, 45, 48, 50 Average 51. One of those seasons was strike shortened, too.
