Our dishwasher has been acting up lately, and I'm getting frustrated. I was curious if anyone here knows anything at all about the subject matter, and if so, the steps one could take to either fix or diagnose the issue. I have used Google without much luck. We have a whirlpool, which doesn't finish its cycle. And when that happens, the "normal" and "heavy" buttons flash. Once that happens, no matter what I do, it won't reset and allow me to just hit start again. It throws a wrench in the process and just kind of glitches out. I have tried some basic stuff from Google results like shutting off power, holding the "heated dry" button, and others. But, hit me with some ideas.
Sounds like it could be the switch...I'm guessing but youtube gives me better results than Google for those fix it yourself problems. I have a glass top stove that has a burned out burner and it seems like that was a switch problem as well. Not sure that helps (1) whirlpool dishwasher not finishing cycle - YouTube
Mine stopped working about 10 days ago. So I bought a new one. It was installed last Friday. Works great. You're welcome.
Can you find where it plugs in? Sometimes you can reset a cycle by unplugging, wait a few minutes and plug back in.
You need to let your dishwasher smoke weed. It’s 2022 you won’t find someone to do it that doesn’t smoke it’s medicinal bruh
I actually can't get in behind it to unplug. It is mounted in a recessed counter area, and it seems to be plugged in behind the counter area. And would have to disconnect water line to gain access. Also, I don't have a ton of specialized tools. I have flipped off the power at the breaker though, to essentially do the same thing.
I'll try youtube. Most of the Google results described part of the indicators but not all of them. And none of the easy steps seemed to do anything in terms of mitigation.
I'll peep this one tomorrow. It's already almost 9pm and I'm in a comatose state from homemade pork tamales and Mexican rice.
Depending on how old it is, the mother board might be dying. That happened to my range and that shit cost like 200 bucks to replace.
