I don't want to be too graphic here, but when a girl says she doesn't want you to put it in her....errrrr.....uhhhhh...."dirty place," regardless if you're already in the act of "normal" sex, you shouldn't do it. And if you do, I would consider that rape. At least that's what I think happened.
usually when a media star like Kobe is accussed of such a thing there's always at least one other woman who comes forward claiming the same thing, but it never happened here. Makes me think the sex was consentual or she at least went in there with a good idea of what was to happen. Maybe she changed her mind during the moment and Kobe ignored he requests to stop, or she thought she could gain some fame from the moment and lied. I don't know if we'll ever know that truth.
Yes. There's not a shred of doubt in my mind. Did she want to make out with him? Sure. Did she want to get bent over a credenza and violently slammed against it? No. Just because you have permission to go to first base doesn't mean you have the green light to go around the bases.
I think he was full of himself and she was less than insistant. He pushed too far thinking "she wants me, she just needs some convincing." I hate the designation "rapist" because rape is really a violent crime meant to assault the victim. Situations like the one Kobe was in are still wrong, but an entirely different classification in my mind. I know women who were raped by strangers (in the classic sense) and beat up, and I have a hard time placing Kobe in that class of scum. I have never been in that situation (girls throwing themselves on me at every hotel, after every game). But, I have to say that if I was coming on to a girl and she even mildly stated "no" --even if I believed she was just trying to get me to convince her--I would do a 180. You can't mess with "no" these days.
