We don't have the assets to get him. Unless we feel ok with trading CJ+Nurk+a million pick swaps and I'm pretty sure just Ben Simmons is more appealing than all this.

I wouldn't trade Raymond Felton's cupcake poop for James Harden.

The only thing we have they'd want is Dame, and that's a non-starter. We also couldn't trade Covington.

So I answered Yes. Because whatever we'd give up would be such a goddamned bargain you do it immediately and figure shit out later. Dame + Harden would be the best offensive backcourt ever(?)

Plus Covington and a bunch of scrubs.

That's really not a lot worse than what the Lakers had to work with when they got AD.

It'd never happen. But I wouldn't mind it at all if it did.

We'd have to gut the team, CJ, Trent, and probably 4 first round picks or swaps.

I dont think he's a big enough upgrade as Dame and Hardin have duplicate advantages.

We need more wings, I'd rather use those picks to get another wing and keep Trent.

Plus Hardin is a punk and watching him scam refs is stupid.

I voted No. Where is the Fuck NO option?

I love hypotheticals but at this point we should discuss real potentials...

Unless the objective is to NOT foretell what we do.

We don't win a Championship unless we get a real 2nd SUPERstar, not just Star, a damn SUPERSTAR. At least top 10 Player. Neither CJ or Nurk is one of that caliber

But having a 2nd SUPERstar doesn't necessarily mean a team will win. Harden and Westbrook are both superstars, they didn't win. George and Leonard are both superstars, they didn't win. LeBron, Wade and Bosh only one 50% of the time they were teammates.

I think having a better balanced team is more important than having 2 Superstars and a bunch of scrubs.

I would hate to watch him play but the value is just too great. Doubt it would get us closer to a title

That's another absolutist take from you. They're getting old. We can definitely win a championship with one superstar surrounded by great role players and one other star/all-star, it's just that that second star needs to be complementary to Dame's game not detrimental like CJ is. Also, lets not pretend to know Nurk's ceiling.

No it's absolutely not, the NBA is a Superstar league, tell me the last time a team has won with one Superstar and a good team? Dirk in 2011, but time has changed since back then dramaticly

Toronto just last season. Kawhi was the only Superstar.

I agree, i would say that team was better than the 2011 mavs team though, Siakam was a star in the making and the other players were really good. But they dont win the Championship without KD and Klay going down

That's why we would totally make a trade that got us Harden, especially if it was on the cheap and then flip him for an all-nba level player that actually fits with Dame. I could see a scenario where we trade CJ, Zach and 2 first rounders to Houston for Harden. Then we trade Harden to the Sixers for Simmons and Zhaire Smith. Now you might ask yourself why would the Rockets take CJ, Zach and picks for Harden when they could have just got Simmons and filler? The answer to that is simple... they wouldn't.

    Toronto had a Big 3. Kawhi + KD's Achilles + Klay's ACL.
