    CULTURE ISSUE. CULTURE ISSUE.

Does Trump have anything else? Anything actually... substantive?

Because of how LeBron came out and defended the Chinese government against the protesters when Rockets GM Morey spoke out for freedom and expression, that actually didn't sit well with a lot of people who prefer freedom. I get that LeBron gets massive amounts of money from there via his shoe deals revenue, but to come out against the protester there.....while supporting the protesters here seemed a bit $$$ oriented and self serving.

Holy moly, can we please get this shit out of the basketball portion of this forum before it further devolves into political matters? There is a place where politics and sports intersect, I'm just hoping that this isn't that place. I am pretty sure within two clicks you can get to that place of off topic banter.

I think HCP knows, just as the rest of us know, if he wasn't with his wife, he wouldn't be getting anything other than self service.

I'd say the NBA is very political...see the NBA playoff courts and jerseys and the interviews are all speckled with civil rights question....nothing wrong with sports being proactive in my view.

Right, there's just this specific forum to discuss these things, not the Blazers basketball forum. I think it's brilliant that those of you who like to discuss where politics/society intersect with sports have a place to talk about that. I just don't want what devolves into those arguments in the main forum because it makes it a place that is more meaningfully contentious. I mean people get pissed in there about defensive schemes, I don't want to see what those same people do with issues of human rights and the like. I think I must be in the majority because those are the rules.

It cracks me top to this day that the one guy got all pissed and complained and went off on me because I called him "SON". Just hilarious.
