VITALS: 6-10, 210, freshman, Georgia Tech OVERVIEW: Bosh is a Dallas native who played one season at Georgia Tech and blossomed quickly. The 6-10 forward led the Yellow Jackets with 15.6 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game and shot 56 percent, becoming the only freshman to lead the Atlantic Coast Conference in that department besides North Carolina's Antawn Jamison. Bosh turned in 13 double-doubles and blocked 67 shots to lead the ACC and was named conference Rookie of the Year. The lefthander participated in the Global Games in July 2002 and was named Most Valuable Player. Bosh has surprising versatility, shooting 48 percent (22-of-46) on 3-pointers last season. LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: 4-9. If Bosh slips past Toronto (4), where many believe he will be drafted, he could tumble as low as ninth to New York. That is because the next five teams already have star power forwards on their roster, unless you count Miami's Brian Grant as a center. Grant took over that position for the injured Alonzo Mourning last season. Now that Mourning is a free agent, and the club has gotten comfortable with Grant in the middle, the Heat could nab Bosh at No. 5. COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Eddie Griffin, Jared Jeffries ROLE PROJECTION: Future starter POSITIVES: Bosh is quicker than nearly all of his counterparts at 6-10. He can snake through traffic for high-percentage shots around the bucket. Bosh also owns outstanding touch and wowed scouts as a freshman with deft 3-point shooting that nobody realized he had. He also contributes on the boards, despite his lack of strength, and is an outstanding shot-blocker. SHORTCOMINGS: For all he has going for him, Bosh owns a naturally thin body, and there are many questions surrounding whether he will ever be able to add the strength needed to become a star. Few doubt that Bosh will be a good player in the league, but when you are projected as a top-five selection, that is expected. He must overcome his speedy metabolism. WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "I personally wish he would have stayed in school. I think he has tremendous potential to develop. He blocks shots, fundamentally sound, good reputations he's got a lot of things going for him. He will be a very good player in time." former Atlanta Hawks general manager Pete Babcock
Comparing players to KG is a death wish... look at Darius Miles... I like Bosh, he should be the 4th pick... because hes the 4th best player in the draft... hate to see him slip (even tho I wouldnt want to go to Canada hehe)...
he deserves to be #4, he will go up to toronto and do good. i won't be expecting too much the 1st year, but in 2-3 years he's gonna be good.

He will be #4 but I dont want him to go to the raptors. I rather see him in Miami. Also heard he compares to Duncan and Odom.
