"Monk has also has worked out for the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic and is expected to work out for the Knicks early next week, with one source telling ZAGSBLOG it’s set for Tuesday. Both Monk and Kennard are in play to be drafted by the Knicks with the No. 8 pick. Kennard is expected to be off the board by the 15th pick at the latest, so the Knicks would probably need to acquire another pick in the top 15 to have a shot at taking Kennard if they don’t pick him with the No. 8 pick." Pros: "Elite feel - off the charts BBIQ" Elite shooter - super quick release Cons: Defense Defense Defense
Sure, but don't expect it from a rookie. We just need to draft the most talented guys and hope we hit on one.
Are teams clamoring for the next Chris Mullin or something? Because this aint it. The closest I've seen come close was Michael Redd. Herky-jerky left hander who could stop and pop and take you off the dribble. This guy is too slow and doesn't have a crafty enough dribble.
He has really risen significantly in the draft board, I still remember him being projected as a late first rounder and even early second rounder. Shooting guard who cannot defend is absolutely the last thing we need.
So it's Anunoby then. He can defend up to 4 positions and his outside shot isn't bad. When he attacks the rim, he does so without regard for other human's safety.
