    I don't think anyone ever thought this was possible even if Darius Miles was off the books. LMA and Roy's contracts kick in next summer and it was never a possibility.

    If we would have drafted Durant, we wouldn't have traded Randolph and we would have had one of the most talented offensive teams in the league for a while there.

    True. We drafted Oden so we could get rid of Randolph, and replace him with Aldridge. Zach had to go, and we were super fortunate we were able to land Channing Frye in the deal instead of a half a pack of Kool Milds and a dog-eared Oui magazine from 1983, with only a two or three of the pages stuck together.

    If the only reason to draft Oden was to get rid of Zach, then KP was a bigger idiot than some people make him out to be. We took Oden because we thought he was a once-in-a-generation player. But if we had taken Durant instead, I guarantee Zach would not have been moved.
