Sounds like Clyde is putting up his gold medal from the 92 Olympics for auction. Starting bid 250K. Anyone in on the bidding? Just out of my price range.
I guess if it is just sitting in a shoe box somewhere he might as well sell it. But I would think that the Dream Team Gold medal would be something he would cherish.....unless he is hurting for money. (which I don't think he is)
He didn’t make much in his NBA career, doesn’t have endorsements, does he still work TV games for Rockets?
Yeah, it is crazy to look at his salary. In his last year in Portland he was paid 1.6 million (his highest to that point) Then the Rockets paid him 9.8, 5.5, and 5.5 in his last 3 years. https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/nba/clyde-drexler-net-worth/
This couldn’t be more wrong: https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/eric-millegan-net-worth/
If he had 13 million at retirement, that was 26 yrs ago. At a conservative 10%, anything he set aside as a nest egg would have grown to nearly 12 times that. Hopefully I have taught my kids well that life gets easier when you get money that you can let grow over time.
I know this doesn't fit the narrative that Clyde hates Portland but you can read it however you wish. This is by Kerry Eggers if you are worried about the link. Of course Blazers Edge jumped all over this but I don't give them clicks. https://www.kerryeggers.com/stories...-charming-accommodating-gracious-and-grateful
Here is a link to the medals auction If anyone is interested in following it, or even bidding. Currently at $400,000. 11 Days 10 Hrs 22 min Which if I’m correct is Saturday August 11 at 7PM PST Would be cool to own but not as cool as to win. Wonder how much action this will have in the final 24 hours, and how much it will go for. Seems like the word is out as far as it going for auction.
