Saw an article by a Pistons fan suggesting possible trades for Drummond. One of the was trading him to PDX for Whiteside as well as 2020 & 2022 firsts.

My first thought was why? Both are expiring but why give up two additional firsts for a potential rental?

The writer also suggested that we could re-sign him to a longer term deal and trade CJ & Nurk to get a 3rd star to go with Dame & Drummond.

Bzzzzt! Thanks for playing but you have been eliminated.

    Good-bye.

Drummond is a taller Harkless. I wouldn't add two first rounders. If he had Collins motor and demeanor he would be more valuable, imo.

Drummond has a $28 million player option next summer. He's already said he's declining it. There's no way he'd do that and sign a reasonable contract like Nurk did.

I'm calling it right now though: Whiteside will be just as good as Drummond this season if not not better. Last year Whiteside put up better per 100 possession numbers despite "having an attitude and being lazy."

Drummond isn't a significant upgrade over Whiteside, I might be interested in doing the trade but I wouldn't throw in even one first round pick.

    Centers just aren't that valuable.

We have the elite guards needed.

If we were to send off future first round picks it needs to be for an elite wing.

I’m a no on this also. I’m thinking that Whitside on a contract year will be just as good.

I like Drummond. I advocated drafting him.

I'll go one step further. I bet that Whiteside becomes such a beast, that he actually causes "reporters" to do articles contemplating if we should keep him, or Nurk.....

That's how big I think he's gonna be for us.

I hate watching Drummond, but can tolerate Whiteside.

Interested to see what Dame+Terry+Contract Year leads to for him.

    Cautiously optimistic.

Really interested to see how Terry goes about the frontcourt rotation.

Tolliver+Whiteside & Collins+Gasol feel like the most natural pairings.

Going to be tough to get to those combinations though with Zach and Whiteside starting (which I'm still fine with).

Early hook for Collins in 1st Q and starting Collins+Gasol at the start of 2nd Q's seems the like the logical route though.

Think we need to limit the Tolliver+Gasol minutes.

That frontcourt projection needs more Skal.
