Speaking of, i see Brooks is stealing my idea of trading for Staal or Ladd towards the DL. It is a very smart idea though i wouldn't give up Buchnevich. Maybe Gropp, Halverson and a 2nd or something. Problem is they don't have alot of blue chippers outside of Buch/Skjei so you have to combine pe ople plus a pick. And yeah that's alot for Abdelkader.

I hear that Colorado centreman, Matt Duschene aged 24,
may be available. Would Rangers entertain this move?

Ladd is worth nothing more than Staal. As bad as people make Staal out to be he's a better 3rd defenseman than 90% of the teams in hockey have. He shuts Ovie down on a regular basis and about 5% of the defenseman in the NHL do that.

Duchene IMO is not available. They have one big center other than him. He's winning 55% of his draws. I don't see him going anywhere. To me they would deal Varlamov for help on wing. Then maybe Iginla to get younger on wing.
