Not putting games away. I don't know what Joe is talking about with Skjei starting to play alot better, he still looks pretty bad. Hopefully Hayes is ok which is most important out of tonight.

Young players, young d-men, haven't figured out how to protect the lead. Not surprising. At this point I'm just looking at the development of players. Which was really the plan all along.

Well they certainly aren't developing in the 'protect the lead late in games' department.

Andersson seems to need more time in Hartford as he's not there yet. Glad to see Hayes is ok as that looked really bad.

Takes time. What I don't like is asswipe Gorton stockpiling a ton of vets on defense, blocking roles for kids like Lindgren and Hajek. It's dumb. Gorton is greedy and wants to deal off these vets for picks. If nobody wants them, he's screwed. He will have buyouts all over the place.

Hate to quit on a 1st rounder like Skjei but he seems to stand out every game with brutally poor defensive play, he's only 24 so there's still potential unlike the older vets who have also failed to impress.

The forwards have also contributed to the blown leads as well
