I figured I'd try my luck again. I love Nurk. Just want him to succeed, and if he dunks instead of laying it up in close, He will become a dominant force in the league. Go Jusaf.

Jusuf would appreciate if you could spell his name correctly.... until then, he refuses to dunk.

it's just annoying with nurkic, instead to dunk he takes emberrasing ballerina shots, and lately he's brutally inefficient, even a worse version from last year. I have never Seen a 7'0 260 pounds guy that is afraid to dunk. In the last 3 Games he is 8/39FG! say what you want but that's pathetic for a Center. At least he has 7 Assists tonight

It's not that he can't dunk because when he first came over and went full Nurk Fever, he was dunking on everyone. So it's more that he just doesn't put in the effort on most occasions.

Well of course his last 3 games is a better representation than a whole career. I have never understood why a player can't be consistent every game.

I completely agree with the original intent of this post and thread that Nurk is too often soft at the rim. If he went strong every time he’d live at the line and get guys in foul trouble. And score more points which I think is the goal.

Worse is an understatement, his shooting is pathetic, but at least he can find different ways to have an impact, not like Meejay McCollum

Stotts doesn't get Nurk the ball enough.

    Yup. Terry’s assist stats suck.

This is exactly like Przybilla's first few months with Portland.

You know what fixed it? Nate McMillan demanding that he dunk anything and everything near the rim.

    And it sparked his breakout.

So you're saying we need to trade Nurk to Indiana?

Nurk has been our best player over the past few games. Even last game they were running everything through him and it worked great. So we can forgive him some flubs.
(There have also been more than a few cases when I literally couldn't believe that the ball came out - it would roll around twice and then somehow jump out of the basket.)

Przybilla's first coach as a blazer was Mo Cheeks. Joel was pretty successful running the pick and roll with Van Exel and Damon, but under Cheeks, McMillan stopped using Joel on pick and rolls as much as Cheeks did. It was baffling.

Do I seriously have to explain why +/- is flawed and not truly indicative of a players impact? Nurk gets the benefit of only playing when Dame & CJ are both on the floor..... If he played with the bench, it'd be a -5.

No, you need to change your view to the correct one.
