Back in town from a three-game road trip, the Las Vegas Wranglers fell 4-2 to the Colorado Eagles tonight in the team's 10th "FANniversary" celebration.

Colorado drew first blood late in the first on a goal from defenseman Isaac Smeltzer. The 1-0 lead carried into the second when Wranglers center Geoff Paukovich scored a power play goal at the 6:40 mark to knot the game 1-1. The Eagles were quick to respond, and the one-goal lead was regained by forward Joey Sides with ten minutes left in the second.

Eagles forward Trent Daavettila gave Colorado a 3-1 advantage five minutes into the third, but the Wranglers attempted a comeback in the final 59 seconds on a goal from forward Andrew Sarauer. Colorado collected the 4-2 win on an empty net goal from Sides in the final 15 seconds, taking the victory in front of 6.519 Wranglers fans.

The Wranglers face the Alaska Aces on Monday, Jan. 21, in a special 2:05 p.m. game on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Fans can skate with the team after the game, with limited ice skates provided at no charge.
