    Darren Sproles is back.

Shortly after the 2018 NFL Draft came to an end on Saturday, Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman announced that the team has re-signed Sproles, bringing him back for the 2018 season.

"We are excited to have Darren back in green. Everyone in the building is excited...Darren is just that kind of guy. It is fun to have Darren Sproles as a player on your football team."

What does the return of Sproles mean?

Here are some takeaways from the signing:

Rehab: Sproles' 2017 season came to an end when he suffered a torn ACL, but Roseman made it clear he expects Sproles to be back for the start of the 2018 NFL season.

"For sure," Roseman said. "We are very optimistic."

Although it has yet to be seen how Sproles will recover from his injury, it seems like Sproles will have to be a complete disaster in training camp to not make the roster. The Eagles wouldn't have re-signed Sproles unless they were positive they wanted him on their roster.
