Elder Scrolls Online came out last month for the consoles, had been released last year for PC. I've been playing it quite a bit recently, and it has honestly been a lot of fun. Had my doubts about how an MMO could transfer to console but the transition has been pretty good. Anyone out there tried it or has been playing lately?
How does it compare to Elder Scrolls V Skyrim? I was a big fan of that game. Loved it! Do you have to pay a monthly fee (not included with Xbox Live) to play it?
There is a mod out there in beta that allows multiplayer Skyrim. Not quite finished but promising. Unfortunately ESO is not Skyrim Online but holds close to the conventions of typical MMORPGs.
It was originally supposed to come out for console last year, but they had a lot of bugs and pushed back release till this June. With the delay they eliminated the monthly subscription fee. The graphics, IMO are equal or a possibly a little less than that of Skyrim, but for an open world MMO on a console it's still very impressive. It really is pretty much Skyrim but with MMO components now in the game, as well as the ability to play with a bunch of friends. For $60 it's honestly a steal, you can create and have up to 8 characters and I've heard many people say it takes close to 300 hours to reach the level cap....and that doesn't even include the ability to play PvP against other players in a special section of the game. If you loved Skyrim you will no doubt enjoy this game.
