I know someone very well who worked on the show for a few years. It all starts with her and how she treated people. I heard horrible stories for years. People would bring their kids to work and she wouldn't even say hello, etc.
I was curious about it so I read up a little bit when this all broke. She is supposedly horribly toxic.
Just wondering but would this be a story if Ellen was a man? David Letterman had affairs with female staff members, that seems pretty toxic. The working conditions at Amazon warehouses seem really toxic. So what if she doesn't like kids or kiss babies. Are her employees paid well? Good benefits?
As soon as Letterman started catching heat for it he discussed it openly on his show and people got over it. Ellen is "taking responsibility" by not admitting any of the toxicity was attributed to her, cause she's a much shittier person.
Also, she has completely misrepresented herself publicly as this amazing person. Hell, her catch phrase is "Be Kind to each other" for fucks sake.
