Ellis has just thrown down 6 or 7 straight alley-oop dunks in a row. WTF!!??

He played great and could have gotten MVP.

    Yeah, nice game by Ellis.

Too bad we traded for Baron and then moved out of position for Chris Paul. Chris Paul and Monta Ellis were fun to watch play together.

I have never heard of Milsap, but he looks like a player that would do well here. He lead the NCAA in rebounding three straight years, plus he is not stiff, he looked very athletic and smooth. Too bad Boozer is out, so the Jazz probably don't want to get rid of that guy.

It's too easy to get assists in these kinds of games.

Well all David Lee did was dunk and layup off of those assists, which is even easier. Plus Paul had 15 points and 9 (yes, 9) steals and he came off the bench. If Monta and Paul start Paul probably gets 25 assists and Monta gets 40 points.

Also, I thought it was cool how Reggie Miller had a boner for Monta. Miller kept bringing Monta up when the others announcers were changing the subject and they actually did spend a decent amount of time saying how good and important Monta has been to the W's. Also after the game Wade was on the TNT post game show and was apparently impressed by Monta saying "They gotta show Ellis, they gotta show Ellis" during the highlights when all they showed were David Lee's lameass dunks.

The MVP voting was BS because it seemed like you could vote for MVP before the end of the game, so everyone probably voted for Lee in the first half.

Paul should definitely have gotten MVP. Wish we had him on the W's.

I just read a SLAM article on him before the game and I was interested in seeing him play more. From what I saw today hes one of the most exciting young players in the league. Hope I can see him play more often, Ellis has a bright future ahead of him no question.

Lee just planted himself in the paint and got dunks and layups in a game of no defense.

    Here's my list:

    Chris Paul
    Monta Ellis
    David Lee

Monta's dunks were exciting. Watching David Lee dunk is like watching Troy Murphy dunking... BORING.

You've just seen the beginning. People compare him to an Arenas or Iverson. [IMG]

Because they're both big or because they're both white?

I actually think that David Lee is a very entertaining dunker. He does more than just slam it home --- he has some style too. After all, the kid won the McDonald's All-American dunk contest back in 2001 over James White and T.J. Ford (who was actually very high-flying pre-injury).

Either way, does the MVP of an event like this really matter? It's a glorified pick-up game as Reggie Miller kept saying, with no defense and very little structure.

Monta Ellis did make a name for himself as an young, athletic prospect though. Playing on a team like Golden State that's on the west coast and gets very little media attention and having only recently come into a major role with the team, Ellis is really still an unknown to the casual fan.

After tonight, I think most people will remember his name.
