    Wow, Ukraine playing on ABC today! I bet that's a first. The last time I paid much attention to the soccer team Shevchenko was playing, not coaching.     I can't even watch penalty shootouts when I don't care who wins. God KNOWS what it's like being in one. I still think they should just keep playing until everyone drops.

    Gotta say I can see England losing to Denmark because they get caught looking ahead to Italy. And if they beat Denmark, I just can't see them beating Italy. Please God let neither game go to penalties.

    My daughter, who is a soccer goalie, loved the shootout today in the Italy/spain game. She had to leave before the one over the weekend. I think it is more stressful on mom and dad when she is in a shootout then on her.

    I thought the aussies were the best. How come i never see them in things? Didnt they invent aussie rules football aka man’s soccer? Not that wimpy euro soccer stuff where they flop and shit….

    Phew! If I'm honest, that shouldn't really have been a penalty. And Schmeichel saved it! But I'll take it. Now to lose convincingly to Italy in the final! (They're on a 33-match unbeaten streak...)

    That was a great game, bummer for that goalie he made a great save and it was a weak foul call. We were hoping for another set of PK's .
