The Bellator Heavyweight Tournament rages on this week. Friday night on Paramount Matt Mitrione and Ryan Bader fight. Also on Friday night Big Country fights the Russian dude who likely won't attack anyone should he win the fight. Lorenz Larkin and Kimbo Slice Jr will be in action.

Saturday night the American Gangster fights Fedor who also likely won't attack anyone should he win. Also on the card is Benson Henderson vs Saad Awad. Alexander Shlemenko in action, as well as Cheick Congo who will likely jab and hold his way to another win.

Also if you like boxing Terrence Crawford fights Jose Benavidez on ESPN. Max Kellerman has been hyping Crawford up as like a Roy Jones Jr type talent. I've never seen him, but maybe?

    Predictions on main event?

Does Sonnen still have the juice to take and keep Fedor down?

I don't think Sonnen can do it. Fedor will be able to stuff his takedowns and will light him up in the first round.

I picked Meathead at the beginning of the tournament to win it all, but as it has got here I do not know if he will be able to stop Bader's takedowns. I am leaning towards a Fedor/Bader final at the moment.

For his fight against Big country, Sergei Kharitonov walked out to Eye of the Tiger......I'm trying to wrap my head around a Russian fighter walking out to Eye of the Tiger against an American.

And then Kharitonov destroyed Nelson. Roy probably needs to hang it up before he becomes bad punch drunk.

Before this fight happens I'm still picking Meathead to win the tournament.

Meathead fucking up. Bader taking him down at will, and Meathead helping him by storming across the ring and looking to fight nose to nose at the beginning of each round.

I honestly believe the only dude who beat Bader that could do it again at this moment is Jones. I think Bader could handle Johnson or Tex.

The crowd kept booing this fight, but I felt Bader was fairly active for how much Mitrione was just trying to avoid getting his ass kicked. He was looking to throw some ground and pound, had a side arm bar that Meathead just roughed out,

I only knew because my wife was watching a Friends rerun on Paramount and they said something about it at commercial. Otherwise I would have never known.

In the past couple of months we saw a legit heavyweight in Stipe Miocic starched by a light heavyweight Daniel Cormier, and then a legit heavyweight in Meathead crushed by Bader. Is 265 just an overrated weight class as a whole and light heavyweights are just as good? Should Jon Jones have moved up years ago?

HW and LHW are thin in 2018.
