the difference is Hood vs a BAE player. Also I don’t think it should be understated how important having a sizable matching salary is.
I don’t know where you got that I was happy with the deal. Just that it’s not as bad as you think it is.
It’s time.... how many time outs were called during that 29 or was it 31-6 run? how many substitutions made during that stretch? you can’t possibly tell me RoCo is playing anywhere near Melo’s play... team plays soft; no defense and out-hustled in the first half of every game... This is coaching. It’s time to fire Stotts!!
Watch Olshey give Stotts an extension because Nurkic got hurt again and say that Stotts hasn’t had a fair chance with a full and healthy roster.
We have no offense. If our threes aren't hitting or teams trap Dame/CJ, we completely fall apart. This is the playoffs all over again. Our defense is a fucking embarrassment. Fire this man.
We have no system..we just have enough talent to make the playoffs every year regardless..Terry knows this and knows how to play to Neil and Jody..he's a con man
Third straight game the team fell behind 20-ish points in the first-half ... it makes no sense to make a coaching move mid-season, but I am still ready for a change in the offseason. I hated that it was against us, but damn it was refreshing watching the Pacers play defense tonight. Why does it feel like every damn game we're begging this team to get consistent stops?
Olshey knows the second he fires Stotts that his clock will start ticking on being exposed for inability to build a championship roster. If Olshey thought firing Stotts would increase his job security, he undoubtedly would do just that.
what great is that with Zach and Nurkic out, and Hood looking like he's done, we can recycle all of the injury excuses from last season. No need to generate new excuses
Let me preface this by saying I would prefer that the team do a thorough search and look for new talent for a coach. But a familiar name I would take a hard look at would be Jeff Van Gundy. His teams ALWAYS play defense. With the Knicks and Rockets, the lowest his teams have ranked in defensive rating is 6th. I think he has the clout and stature to immediately hold guys accountable. He could probably improve the offense too but clearly the improvement needs to be defensively.
Reading this and I thought back to our projected lineup for the 2019-20 season and 3/5ths of those players (Nurk, Zach, Hood) are either injured or recovering from a major injury. That's wild to me ... that's really hard to overcome.
I just can't get behind this. Neil is the conman or at least a snake oil salesman (meaning he might believe his own con) but Stotts isn't selling anything. The guy is just incompetent. I really think the excuses come from Neil and flow down from there. This isn't an opinion, it's just a fact. I would like your post but I just don't like this fact but obviously who could disagree.
At what point do you just walk out the door? I mean you have had 8 years and the team seems to have hit the bottom for you last 1 year and a half. You are paid millions and yet you can't do shit with your coaching as if we have a puppet on the bench. You have failed miserably to fix the well known issues. There is no ego?
Because if he went somewhere else he would most assuredly not do well and get canned immediately. So he's going to continue to let Dame carry his sorry ass.
