to comment on the tragic passing of eddie griffin
just really makes me wish that he could have gotten help and been ok
god bless his soul

in other news
well, there was no way an ex celtic laker hater like kevin mchale
was gonna let kevin garnett end up on the lakers
those old moldy greens got together and put him on boston
darn it!
the laker/celtic rivalry ended in the eighties
but as far as i'm concerned it's back in full effect
bird, mchale, and ainge would have had to all agree to make that 3
way trade that put KG on the lakes
and those guys hate the lakes
i dont care what anyone says about who wants to rebuild, and who want
cap room etc....
it is an evil celtic conspiracy against the lakers
and it will all come out in the wash
larry bird does not want market value for jermaine oneal
the lakers offered him cookie, kwame, and the future great andrew bynum
and he said no, it is more than a fair value, he just wants the
lakers to suffer.......
go lakers
go lakers

it has been said that i have terrible grammar because i dont use
punctuation
dont people know poetry when they see it
philistines one and all!

I personally do not think it is back in full effect. It is entertaining to see a Laker- Celtic game at the very least. With Garnett in the Mix, it gets better because I want to see how the Staples crowd reacts. But, I truly think the Rivalry can be back in full force if we land Jermaine.

Lakers vs Celtics

Kobe, Lamar, Jermaine vs KG, Pierce, Allen

The thing is your gonna most likely give up Lamar in order to get Jermaine. Plus that deal is off the table for the Nets and Lakers. [IMG]

Yeah the Rivalry will relive only if Odom and O'neal and Kobe are on the same team but after that the Lakers don't appear to make it to the Finals with the team we got right now.

Not necessarily... this trade is good for both teams. It gives the Pacers a really bright future and it gives us Jeramine without giving up Odom. I bet the Pacers would pull this trade to, its just Mitch's incompetance to make deals that is holding this deal of.

Lakers recieve:
Jeramine Oneal

Pacers Recieve:
Andrew Bynum
Sasha Vujacic
Brian Cook
Kwame Brown
Javaris Crittenton

It checks out in the Trade Machine

EDIT:

Also, the New Jersey proposed deal does not work out. Trade Machine

Although, this does...Trade Machine

^Lol, this trade accutually makes you worse.

That trade is going to kill your future. It will also kill the Nets future if their deal goes down. That is why I don't want Jermaine. The Nets could have had Jermaine, but Thorn doesn't want to give up Williams and Krstic. I don't know about you guys, but I guess Mitch doesn't want to give up Bynum. [IMG]

But then again, Larry Bird said Jermaine is not going anywhere. [IMG]

Unfortunately for the league the rivalry is not renewed. In fact, there aren't anymore true rivalries in the NBA because of the parity in the league and the amount of player movement we see every summer.
