Linfield and Torshavn will meet head to head on the 3 July 2012.

    Linfield FC Preview

Belfast, North Ireland based club Linfield won their 51st Irish Premiership title by a massive 14-point margin last season with 85 points followed by Portadown at 71.Linfield FC dominated again as they took the league title by beating the Crusaders FC in the Irish Cup final to complete a sixth double in seven years.

On the 3rd of July they will face B36 Torshavn from the Faroe Island during the first leg of the Champions League. When compared to the opposing team, Linfield has a much richer history with a considerable amount of achievements. Mostly, however, the championsips were domestic and restricted within the Irish League. Nevertheless, the North Ireland outfit has a strong attack formation thus overwhelming the opposing teams.

    B36 Torshavn Preview

Founded in 1936 in the Faroe Island and based in it’s capital with the same name, B36 Torshavn has several achievements but pale in comparison against Linfield. Their recent triumphs include winning the Faroe Islands Premier League in 2011, The Antlantic Cup in 2006, and the Faroe Island Super Cup in 2006.

B36 were drawn against AvenirBeggenin the Champions League Qualifying round in 1992. They went close but didn't make it through to the first round after a 1-0 loss and a 1-1 at home in the second leg. During the 2005-2006 Champions, the team reached the second round after defeating ÍBV Vestmannaeyar of Iceland 3-2 on aggregate. In the second round they narrowly lost to Danish Superliga-club FC Midtjylland 1-2 in the away leg and drew 2-2 at home. The team reached the second qualifying round of the UEFA ChampionsLeague in 2006-2007season after defeating Birkirkara FC of Malta5-2 on aggregate and were eliminated in second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, losing both matches to Fenerbahçe 4-0 and 5-0.

Linfield FC vs B36 Torshavn Predictions: F91 Dudelange 2-0

Both teams demonstrate talent and power in their own right. It is difficult to predict the winner of the first leg for the records show an equality in strength. We will just have to wait and see on 3 July 2012.

Champions League: F91 Dudelange vs Tre Penne

The first leg of the qualifying match between Luxemburg’s F91 Dudelange and San Marino’s Tre Penne starts 3 July 2012.

    F91 Dudelange Preview

Founded in 1991 and based in Dudelange, Luxemburg, from the clubs Alliance Dudelange, StadeDudelange, and US Dudelange. It took a while to turn this outfit into a title challenging team and would take Alliance's place in the Division of Honour in the 1991–92 season. They won tenNational Division titles 999–00, 2000–01, 2001–02, 2004–05, 2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09, 2010–11, 2011-12, four of which being consecutive.

F91 so far has a record of 16 wins, 6 draws, and 4 losses in the 2011-2012 Champions League. They won both legs against Santa Coloma but loss both to NK Maribor.

    Tre Penne Preview

San Marino’s SP Tre Penne was founded in 1956 in the city of San Marino. re Penne currently plays in Girone B of Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio. Currently, the team has achieved a fairly good record of 15 wins, 7 losses, and 3 draws. They will enter the UEFA Champions League against F91 Dudelange on the 3rd of July.

F91 Dudelange vs Tre Penne Predictions: F91 Dudelange 2-0

Although the Sammarinese have a much more experienced squad in Tre Penne, Luxemburg’s Dudelange seem to be the best bet in this 2 legged match-up. F91 Dudelange has shown a lot of promise at the onset of this year’s football season and will most likely continue to do so.

Champions League: Valletta FC vs FC Lusitanos

Euro 2012 Finals Preview: Spain vs Italy Predictions

The Euro Cup 2012 has come to an end with the last 2 teams standing. Spain’s Boss Vicente del Bosque is expected to have a fully-fit squad for the Euro 2012 final showdown with Italy.

The 61-year-old`s biggest selection dilemma is likely to be over whether to field a recognised striker after Alvaro Negredo`s anonymous performance in the semi-final win over Portugal.

With Fernando Torres seemingly out of favour, and with Fernando Llorente yet to make an appearance at the tournament, Cesc Fabregas could be restored to a `false nine` role up front alongside Andres Iniesta and David Silva.

Italy defender Ignazio Abate, who missed the semi-final win over Germany with a muscle injury, is likely to return to fitness in time for the final, while fellow full-back Christian Maggio is also available after serving a one-match ban.

Coach Cesare Prandelli may persist with the same formation that served him well against the Germans rather than revert to the unorthodox 3-5-2 line-up used in the opening match against Spain.

AC Milan-bound Riccardo Montolivo is likely to keep his place in the team ahead of Thiago Motta after an assured performance in the semi-final.

    Spain Preview

Spain are bidding to become the first team in history to win three successive major tournaments (Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012) and the first to retain the Henri Delaunay trophy.

La Roja are contesting their fourth European Championship final (1964, 1984, 2008 and 2012). They have lost just one (1984).

Vicente del Bosque`s side are 19 competitive games without defeat and have won their last nine knockout matches at major tournaments without conceding a goal.

However, the Iberian outfit have not registered a competitive win over Italy in nearly a century (with their penalty shoot-out success in the quarter-final of Euro 2008 classed as a draw). Their record in 11 previous meetings is W1, D5, L5, with the sole victory coming in the sides` first ever encounter at the 1920 Olympic games.

    Italy Preview

The Italians are competing in their third European Championship final (1968, 2000, 2012). They have won just one (1968).

The Azzurri are facing Spain for the 31st time, with their record in prior encounters reading W10, D12, L8. The sides` most recent meeting was in their opening match in this tournament, which finished as a 1-1 draw.

Italy have won just two of their last eight matches in regulation time, but are yet to lose a competitive fixture under Cesare Prandelli.

Spain vs Italy Predictions: Spain 2-1

This very well could be the most consistent match Italy's Balotelli has played for a five-game stretch. Despite his two great goals in the semifinal against Germany, particularly his second goal, he coupled a moment of brilliance with a moment of stupidity by taking his jersey off and receiving a yellow card. If a hot-tempered Balotelli picks up an early booking, he could just as easily be a detriment to his team with an untimely sending off in the championship game. Thus, these erratic moments need to be kept to a minimum. In a single-elimination game, anything can (and will) happen. For the most part, Germans midfielders Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira were frustrated by the Italian midfielders in the last semifinal. However, the Spanish boast the best arsenal of midfielders in the world and, seeing that Fernando Torres’ role in the title game remains up in the air, Xavi Hernandez or Cesc Fabregas might be called upon for but one flash ofwonder. Spain wins 1-0 to capture an unprecedented third consecutive major championship.

Euro Cup 2012 Highlights: Spain Makes A Statement 4-0 Victory Over Italy
    Spain vs Italy

Spain took a few minutes at the end of its breathtaking Euro 2012 triumph to prove it is human, after spending the previous 90 showing why, in soccer terms at least, it is anything but.

A 4-0 victory over Italy on Sunday clinched an unprecedented third straight major tournament success for the majestic Spanish, many of whom brought their young children onto the field at the final whistle to celebrate with them. It was a touching gesture and spawned lovely scenes of childlike exuberance, with the kids hugging and playing excitedly with their delighted fathers.

Fernando Torres enjoys Spain's celebration with his kids Nora and Leo. (Getty Images)Yet for the previous couple of hours, those smiling adult faces in red uniforms had shown sporting ruthlessness of the highest order to silence a growing band of critics with a display of soccer magnificence.

All the accusations of boring play were washed away at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev as Italy, having shown so much spirit and resilience in reaching the final, were simply picked apart with a thousand cuts.

Just as it had all tournament long, Spain controlled the ball, dominated midfield and strung together pass after pass. This time, though, the old attacking intent was in place again after seemingly disappearing during the early part of the tournament.

David Silva got the first goal after only 14 minutes. His header came at the end of an outstanding move that saw Cesc Fabregas cut the ball back from the touchline for a goal of technical excellence. From that point on, it was all one-way traffic.

Spain's second goal was perhaps even better. Left back Jordi Alba charged nearly the full length of the field to collect a pinpoint pass and deliver a cool-headed finish.

When an injury to Italy’s Thiago Motta forced him from the field – after his side had already used all three allocated substitutes – Spain was able to run riot even more. Late replacements Fernando Torres and Juan Mata both got on the scoresheet to cap off a spectacular display and send the discussions of "greatest team ever" into overdrive.

Comparing teams from different generations is always a fool's errand, but this Spain side fully deserves its place at the very forefront of the conversation. It is incredible to think that its success at Euro 2008 ended a drought of 46 years since the nation’s previous major success. Now it has a pair of Euro titles with a World Cup sandwiched in between.

International soccer has never been more deep or diverse, but Spain makes the opposition look second-rate, seemingly at will. In 10 straight knockout games in tournaments, the Spanish have not conceded a single goal and yielded just one in its six matches at Euro 2012.

And to think that people had started to doubt them. Going into the competition, it was felt that the supposed rift between the rival players of Real Madrid and Barcelona would be destructive. Speculation also focused on Spain's dwindling motivation after so much former glory.

Not so. Silva, Manchester City's star playmaker, was the only player not from Madrid or Barca to start the final for Spain. Moreover, this was as seamless a blend of teamwork as you could ever wish to see.

Some key members of the team, such as goalkeeper Iker Casillas and midfield general Xavi, are not getting any younger, and a few fresh legs might be needed for the World Cup in 2014. But this is not a team that is weakening with age or one that is even close to the end of its road. No, it is one that has figured out the blueprint for winning on the biggest stages of all and is enjoying putting it in place.

The 1-0 wins over Germany in the Euro 2008 and the Netherlands at the World Cup were wars of attrition – fierce battles that had to be survived not seized. Sunday's victory, instead, was a festival – a celebration of a truly great team and a dynasty that shows no sign of ending.

Major League Soccer 2012 Preview: New England Revolution vs New York Red Bulls Predictions

Match Preview: New England Revolution vs New York Red Bulls

New England Revolution vs New York Red Bulls Predictions: New York wins 2-1

Home or away the Red Bulls show why they are the better team. New York’s pressure and attack on the defense will continue to be a problem for New England. New England’s injuries will also hinder them from even getting a chance to get the victory over New York.

    New England Revolution: 2.53 - 1.39 - 71.67%

Major League Soccer 2012 Preview: Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew Predictions

A lot has changed since the Andy Gruenebaum and the Crew shutout the Montreal Impact in Columbus back on March 24, but the team will carry the confidence from that victory into this weekend's match in Montreal.

"We can't really take much (from March 24) It's a totally different team," the Crew 'keeper explained. "We have a little confidence. They're struggling, they're going to come out flying at home. They're a dangerous team. Our back is going to be against the wall a little bit."

"We've got to do the things we did well during that match," midfielder Eddie Gaven added. "We came out strong and had a very good start to that game. We played really good defense and didn't give up any goals, which is always big. It's going to be very important on the road to keep things tight in the back. Hopefully we can build off some of the things we did well (on March 24) and do the same thing (in Montreal)."

Match Preview: Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew

Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew Predictions: 1-1 Draw

If it weren’t for the injuries of Columbus I would have it 2-1 for the Crew. But, with the combination of injuries and the poor play of Montreal this goes down as a tie.

Betting Odds and Tips Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew: [sbobet]

    Montreal Impact: 2.37 - 1.42 - 70.33%
    Draw: 3.15 - 1.32 - 75.90%
    Columbus Crew: 2.92 - 1.34 - 74.49%

Columbus Crew Vs Sporting KC Predictions: Columbus Crew wins 2-0

Good teams have a way of punishing bad teams and in this case Sporting News will be all over Columbus. I see with KC’s stellar defense and offensive pressure will be too much for the Crew.

Major League Soccer 2012 Preview: Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas Predictions

Two old Western rivals meet in Colorado at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on July 14 as each team look to turn their own luck around.

Match Preview: Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas

Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas Predictions: Colorado Rapids win 1-0

This prediction is in all its essence, very tentative. Looking at the circumstances from different angles, both teams have shown an equal build-up in strength. What else should bottom teams do? They can’t stay where they currently are and expect to move forward, for one, Dallas is trying hard to avoid its first five game losing streak. But Dallas has demonstrated an improvement in its defences and putting de Guzman in the roster might add to their power of attack. But records all point to the Rapids as the favourite and it’s really hard to avoid numbers and follow one’s personal observation. Numbers have shown that Colorado has maintained their consistency better than Dallas.

Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas Betting Odds and Tips: [sbobet]

    Colorado Rapids Fire: 1.86 - 1.53 - 65.03%
    Draw: 3.35 - 1.29 - 77.01%
    FC Dallas: 4.10 - 1.24 - 80.39%

London Olympic Games 2012 Preview: Morrocco U23 vs Honduras U23 Predictions

Match Preview: Morrocco U23 vs Honduras U23

Morrocco U23 vs Honduras U23 Predictions: Honduras 3-0

Honduras will be too much to handle for Morocco to deal with. I look for Honduras to staying aggressive throughout the match. Morocco doesn’t have much of an attack after witnessing a draw against a weak Belarus back in May

Morrocco U23 vs Honduras U23 Betting Odds and Tips:

    Honduras U23 3.00 - 1.33 - 75.00%
    Draw 3.05 - 1.32 - 75.30%
    Morocco 2.39 - 1.41 - 70.50%

Morrocco U23 vs Honduras U23 Asian Handicap Betting Odds and Tips:

    Honduras U23 0.00 2.35 - 42.55%
    Morocco U23 -0.25 2.02 - 49.50%
