I have a 2015 Ford Focus Ford extended the warranty on the TCM and the Transmission Hardware because they have had so many issues with it. The TCM is still covered for me (hardware is not); however the TCM is also on national back order from Ford as there are so many vehicles requiring replacements. Ford recently stopped manufacturing their line of Sedans; so they are now a truck company with the Ecosport as an outlier. Good old American Ford; I’ll never buy another in my life. End Rant.
I have a friend who was having huge problems with her Ford Focus and the dealer finally took it back and gave her a rather large amount off of a new Ford Ranger.
I had a Mazda designed by Ford. Nothing but problems. Lasted to 180k miles but the check engine was on for half of those
I've rented a few Ford Focuses. I liked driving them, the adaptive highbeams were cool. Wouldn't buy one though.
My first car was a 99 Ford ranger. It had its share of problems but it was fun to drive I suppose. I don’t think I would buy a Ford again though
I bought a ford focus hatchback in… 2008? Was a year or two old? Had it for two years and put almost 3k into it. Sold it and will never buy another.
We had a used F150 for a couple years that we bought because we got a great deal on it. Sold it for as much or slightly more than we purchased it for. Otherwise, I would only drive Fords when in Hawaii and needed a rental - we'd get a Mustang convertible for cruising the island. We had a Ford Tempo way back in the day. UCD could tell more about it, cuz I was just a wee lad, but that thing was a lemon from day one. All it took was for it to totally die and leave us on the side of 205 on a Sunday afternoon before they finally realized it was time for a new car. I believe the muffler fell off of it in our neighborhood at some point. Comedy of errors.
By the way... just in general... cars are so damn expensive these days. I saw a Nissan Sentra for $24K. A brand new one was like $6K back when I was in HS (2 decades ago, sure).
