Anything exciting planned of the menu? I found a really great potato salad recipe. Finished it earlier this morning and just took a bite. Oh, my.

For the first time in years I don't have fruit from my garden for preserves. Vegetables produce quickly but fruit takes at least a year. Went to farmers market and got strawberries. I didn't know how many baskets make 3 pounds so got half a flat. Way more than needed. I started fermenting a batch of yogurt so tomorrow will make strawberry frozen yogurt. Just took six jars of strawberry basil jam from preserving kettle (the basil I grew).

I have a question: Do you have a sourdough starter?

Wife and I caught 10 rainbow trout yesterday morning and went back early this morning and caught 10 more in an hour and a half...I've never fished and gotten a bite on every cast before and I've done a lot of fishing..20 in the freezer...she battered and fried a bunch to freeze for the air fryer but we're having them freshly fried right now and they are delicious....my 60 fruit trees are not going to produce much fruit this season..weird spring weather took care of that but blackberries and grapes look great so we'll get plenty and my Oregon fig tree is giving quite a few. My greens are lush...romaine lettuce salads everyday with parsley, green and red chard, Tuscan kale, spinach, brocolli and my cabbages are amazing...will have lots of Kimchi this fall. Squash is abundant..eating zuchinni now..The middle of the month my chickens should start laying eggs and they look so healthy and are the best batch of hens I've raised yet...they follow me everywhere and as full grown chickens still act like they did as chicks under a heat lamp in my kitchen...happy birds...have 6 this year.

I am very, very upset that your food choices are different than mine!

Can't celebrate a country when this is an actual debate in a governor's race. Imagine watching this and thinking, "This candidate really speaks for me.".

Republicans are a cancer, and fuck this country.

Slightly lopsided three cheese pizza. Color not good in picture. It has nice golden crust. IMG_20220703_130217.jpg

Looks great! I just finished eating 2 slices of the one I made. Mushroom, olive and chicken sausage for toppings. Only one cheese though: fresh grated mozzarella. What cheeses did you use?

I’ve never tried Asiago. Might have to give it a shot.
