Would be nice if they played good defense for a whopping two games in a row.

JT Miller on an indefinite LOA, not injury related. Hope he is OK.

Miller's had off the ice issues before. One of the reasons he never made it NY or Tampa. He also beats the piss out of us every time he plays us.

Yeah, it certainly appeared like it would've been concussion related, but i guess he passed the protocols.

Kakko plays with his nuts on the perimeter all game. This kid just does not get it how he needs to play.

Igor is not worth 12 million.

Lindgren/Trouba might be the worst d pairing in the entire NHL.

Kakko has been great this season. For starters he is tremendous defensively when most of our forwards suck. Secondly, he wins puck battles in the corners, which most of our forwards don’t. He has a few things he could do better, but he’s not the problem. Shesterkin isn’t worth 12 million in the regular season but in the playoffs he is. It’ll be a tough decision for them. Cuylle looks to be turning into a star power forward. Lafreniere, Cuylle and Kakko. Who knows what they could do with real power play time. If you don’t sign, Shesterkin , you have to trade him and do it pretty soon.

Agreed, but I think it is less about Igor, and more about no goalie is worth that much. I would argue even $11M is pushing it, but I would do that to allow Igor to hit 11 and get 500 K per above Price. While goalie is the most important position, you can get good solid goalies that are capable of winning playoff rounds, and winning a Cup, without paying $10M + per. Drury really needs to think about the impact on putting together a deep balanced team if he goes crazy for Igor and gives him more than $11M, which I personally think is too much already, while acknowledging I would bite the bullet and do it for the reasons mentioned.

Agreed again. You cannot play these two guys together. I think this pairing is way too slow and lacks the mobility to be a good mix. Hopefully Lav either moves Schneider with Lindgren or goes back to Lindgren/Fox and Miller/Trouba. He should not keep Lindgren/Trouba together for long IMO.

Solid win last night, played a good game. The Rangers have been much better on the road than at home, in big games it has been that way for a while. Hopefully they can at worst split in Calgary and Edmonton, and come home 3-1 on the trip, that would be a strong trip.

Kakko is not the problem. He was just way overhyped by the scouts at the draft. He is not a second overall pick. He should’ve been a late first rounder or at least not a top 3 pick. He is far from a dynamic player.

Kakko like Lafreniere were developed as role players by the Rangers because the Rangers are fucking stupid. There aren’t that many dynamic players in the NHL. Most of the best offensive players in the league are not good defensively. If Kakko was put on the power play from day one he probably would be a 25 to 30 goal, 60 to 70 point Selke candidate. Lafreniere would be 80 to 100 points. Instead, we have to watch Zibanedouche try to take the same dumbass shot over and over again.

On a sidenote, I saw some poster bring up that the Anderson pick thanks to JD turned into Cuylle. The draft is literally saving the team right now. Gorton had nothing to do with it as he would’ve taken all euro pussies.
