I dunno, my first thought was Dame, but he does struggle with somethings that I'd say go into BBIQ, like shot selection. I picked Dame, but honestly there's no one on the team that blows me away BBIQ wise. Theres 4-5 guys I think have a really high BBIQ though, Dame, Nurkic, Seth, Zach.

 

Grizzlies love to push, pull, and tug. And the refs let them. Gasol has perfected the "grab onto the opponent's arm, squeeze it under his pit, and flail back as if he's being fouled, when it's him who is fouling the opponent, and risking injury to that player with an elbow injury. But the refs continue to buy it, like Harden's flailing. Nurk needs to give that punishment back. Conley is having a nice year, but the Blazers can win this "if", the bench comes to play. PLEASEEEEEEEEE. Go Blazers!

 

Dame's BBIQ is higher than you give him credit for. You try to get some of his teammates going. After awhile, he has to take over when so many of them are aloof, and not producing. Sure he takes an occasional bad shot, EVERY GREAT PLAYER DOES, but he also has a great feel for when he needs to take over. Tonight he had drives that went empty, that others would have went to the FT line. That's smart play. Only the refs were nutless as usual when it wasn't a player named Hard ON.

 

I totally get all that, I think his BBIQ is high. I think his leadership is phenomenal. I think he gets shot happy sometimes too though, like quick 3's from 25 feet look great when they go in but when they don't that's a long rebound usually and can create fast breaks for the other team. Then on Defense, well his effort is up but sometimes he's well, not spectacular on that end.

 

Blazers now 2 games back of the Lakers and only a 1/2 game in front of the #9 Kings. This is not what I had in mind when they started 10-3!

 

The Lakers are AHEAD of us? Whaaat?

 

Need to win this one. Its a huge game for us in terms of playoffs expectations. If conley is out this becames a must win game.

And Jody Allen hasn't given the green light to seek a trade.

 

To win 50 games in this league, you have to lose 32. I’d be thrilled with a 50 win season. So that means I have to deal with 20 more losses without overreacting.

 

By the way, what’s wrong with Simons? Still listed as having an illness?

 

And only 3.5 games out of first!!

 

I didn't watch the Rockets game but this team doesn't look like it's getting anywhere. They don't look like they believe in themselves and right now I think they're right, they're not good enough

 

Just for clarification...

The eye test is the most important factor for judging performance and stats are stupid, but you are now making comments based on not watching either?

 

We were down 17 on the road with 6 minutes left and we were still able to cut it to 5 and give ourselves a chance to win. I’d say they absolutely believe in themselves. There’s no quit in our Blazers.
