A showcase for Lafreniere to get the hell out of this incompetent organization. I would be shocked if he didn't play great tonight to send a cry for help for the Habs to free him of this clusterfuck organization and make him an offer sheet next season.

Crippling, but worth it. Just wait til you see the one Lafreniere gets though....Can't wait for all the draft picks Rangers get in compensation!

I like Marty but he doesn’t look like he knows what the fuck he’s doing as a coach.

Montreal should tank and have a chance to get Bedard. Suzuki and Bedard in the middle for years to come would be tough to stop.

Well no one is going to argue with the fact that tonight, Lafreniere earned every penny of the offer sheet he is going to get this off-season.

Lafreniere looks very unhappy playing here now. He has no confidence. They are starting to ruin him. Last year in the playoffs I thought he was enjoying being a Ranger. Now, he looks like he wants out.

The Rangers cap benefits from La'fs laziness come contract time, just like Kakko. If Alexi has confidence issues it's normal, the NHL is the ultimate hockey league. I think Laf is playing better of late or he'd be rightly relegated to healthy scratch status. Laf needs to stop watching and start making things happen, coaching has nothing to do with his lack of drive. So no accolades for GG turning Kakko into a monster, Kravstov skating past Laf, Schneider emerging as a top talent, Chytil becoming a solid scoring threat and several vets having career seasons last year, the focus is on poor Alexi. 122 games as head coach Gallant is 74-36-12 and there are posters calling for his head while reminding us of the sordid Cupless Rangers past that Ogre had nothing to do with.

Gallant has a track record of his teams getting worse the longer he coaches. He also does not hold the veterans on the team accountable very often, only the kids. To me Lafreniere is playing like he’s afraid to make a mistake and that is not good. That tells me that he’s not on the same page with the coach or he doesn’t trust the coach. I think that the Rangers are going to trade him. Like I said we’ll watch him put up 90+ points on another team. This has J.T. Miller the second written all over it. The Rangers have developed him along with Kakko extremely poorly. No other teams draft players that high and don’t give them significant power-play time. Do your research you will not find one other team in hockey that does that. The difference is the Kakko is about puck possession so he’s able to contribute with his size more. Lafreniere’s game in juniors was about creativity and he’s not being allowed to do that. The power-play is a great place to be creative and he’s denied that.

I do my research and have repeatedly demonstrated that your suppositions about Laf are statistically inaccurate. I don't understand your blind devotion to a player who's done nothing to deserve it other then being selected #1. Kappo Kakko's emergence should be the talk of the board but instead it's unwarranted laments for a guy who can't even skate hard every shift. He might be better suited for small market but you would have to pay me a king's ransom due to the cap friendly arbitration settlement coming his way.

Won't matter much longer. The Rangers have fucked this kid over beyond belief. They will deal him most likely. Then we will have to watch him ass fuck the Rangers every time he plays them for a decade. You can see this one coming.

Hopefully it will click for the kid but it's very much on him to up his game. That said there's no need for this to be the constant theme of every thread except for the need to thrive on negativity.
