The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Phoenix Suns, 88-86, in the Las Vegas Summer League Playoffs at Thomas and Mack Center on Thursday. Despite the fact that a winless Philadelphia team had to play an undefeated Phoenix team, the Sixers were able to prevail in comeback fashion. In fact, the Sixers overcame a 14-point second quarter deficit by outscoring the Suns in the third quarter, 28-19, while holding the lead for the entire fourth quarter. This was a competitive game down the stretch, as it stayed within a four-point margin across the final three minutes of action, as the Suns committed a critical turnover in the final seconds with an opportunity to tie the game. Rim protection was a huge factor for Philly, as they out-blocked Phoenix, 8-4.
