The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Washington Wizards, 89-74, in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League Playoffs at Cox Pavilion on Wednesday. This was a dominating performance for the Clippers, as they won this game in wire-to-wire fashion. A 31-15 first quarter set the tone for Los Angeles and they held a double-digit lead for the final three quarters. Rebounding was huge for the Clippers, finishing with a 46-32 advantage on the boards. Ball movement was also critical, with Los Angeles out-assisting Washington, 21-15.
