The Phoenix Suns defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 90-55, in Las Vegas Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Friday. Phoenix was the far superior team in the regular season of the Summer League and that was evident in this 35-point victory. The second quarter was decisive, with the Suns outscoring the Spurs, 29-9. San Antonio never got the game within an 11-point margin from there, as Phoenix cruised to an easy win, leading by at least 20 points for the whole of the fourth quarter. Rebounding was the difference, as the Suns won that battle, 47-27. The Spurs hit just 31.4 percent from the field and 20 percent from three-point range while the Suns connected on 51.6 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from long range.
