SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Devils may be gettinga cure for their early-season blues.


The Devils continue their early-season road trip when theytravel to BankAtlantic Center on Thursday to meet the FloridaPanthers.


New Jersey looks for a repeat of Saturday's 4-1 victory overFlorida in which center John Madden scored two goals andgoaltender Kevin Weekes posted 32 saves, helping give new Devilscoach Brent Sutter his first win.


Martin Brodeur, who is 30-10-0 with seven ties and a 1.96goals-against average in 47 career games against Florida, looksto match Weekes' success in goal.


In his last time out, Brodeur gave up three goals on 36 shots ina 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Monday.


Overall, the Devils are 26-6-0 with three ties in their last 35games against the Panthers.


Florida, on the other hand, hopes to avoid its first 0-4-0 startin franchise history. If there is any good news for thePanthers, it is that they will be playing at home, where theywere 23-12-6 last season, including a 1-0-1 mark against NewJersey.


Florida will need to wake up an offense that has scored just<div class="pre">four goals in three games - tied with the Phoenix Coyotes and</div>Atlanta Thrashers for the worst offense early in the NHL.
