MONTREAL (Ticker) - Two teams separated by just one point in theNortheast Division standings meet on Saturday when the TorontoMaple Leafs visit the Montreal Canadiens.


The teams have split the first four of their eight meetings thisseason, with Montreal winning the last two.


The Canadiens are coming off a 4-1 victory over Philadelphia onThursday as Mark Streit scored two goals and rookie goaltenderCarey Price made 29 saves. The Maple Leafs are 5-1-0 in theirlast six games, including a 6-1 victory on Monday over Tampa Bayas Chad Kilger scored twice.


Saturday's game is the first of a seven-game road trip forToronto, which is 7-6-1 on the road. Center Mats Sundin leadsthe Maple Leafs with 23 assists and 38 points and is tied withcenter Nik Antropov for the team lead in goals with 15.

Sundin has two goals and four assists against Montreal thisseason and Vera Toskala is 2-0 with a 2.57 goals-againstaverage.


Right wing Alexei Kovalev leads the Canadiens with 26 points andhas 13 goals - tied for the team lead with Chris Higgins.Kovalev has three goals and three assists against Toronto andPrice is 2-0-0 with a 2.88 GAA.
