I think the Warriors are just beat up and their depth is a bit watered down with all the injuries won't be able to keep up with us once again.

This is pissing me off, I have NBA League Pass, and they don't have the game due to "Technical Difficulties"

lol I dont know why but I keep hoping this Jazz thing is a fluke but it seems like it is not since you have beaten all the good teams in the league.

    43-42 Warriors @ half

10-0 Utah run to end the half, sad that we're still down by 1 after it. That Zone was killing us early but we're starting to figure it out.

Well that was embarassing. We had season lows in pretty much every category.

Utah looked uncharacteristic by taking all those horrible three's. Another thing was why didn't C.J. Miles get more minutes? We needed shooters to shoot, not pass like Giri so Harpring can brick a three. This game was ugly and props to Nellie for his strategy. Barnes also killed us with 17 3rd QTR points, mostly layups on fastbreaks when no one hustled back [IMG]

Just looked at the boxscore.... Boozer had 4 pts. That sums it up.

This was an ugly game from the Jazz, hopefully they can learn from it and bounce back vs. the Magic. Full credit to the Warriors, they exposed the Jazz and didn't allow them to play to their strengths. The Jazz just couldn't get the shots they wanted and because of that finished with only 78 points. The Warriors also got 20 offensive rebounds, not many teams can do that against the Jazz.

Judging by your posts... is a running game the jazz's weakness?

The Jazz don't have much of a running game. You could say that's a weakness, but a running game just isn't the way the Jazz play. Going by their game against the Warriors, playing against a zone could be a big weakness for the Jazz if they don't learn to adjust.

Sort of, Nellie's gameplan was alot deeper than that though. The 3-2 zone defense was very effecitve with the Sf (Barnes or Dunleavy) at the top of the key, the PG and SG on either wing, and the PF and C on either low block. The two bigs just had to stay between the Jazz bigs and the hoop, once the ball was thrown inside all the Warriors collapsed and pressured the hell out of the ball handler, forcing him to kick it back to the outside. This basically shut down the inside game and left the Warriors vulnerable to jumpshots but the Jazz just weren't hitting them. They got lured into taking 27 3's and on a team with only a few good shooters (most of whom weren't hitting their shots well) it was a recipe for disaster.

Of course you can't discount the efforts of the Warriors' frontline. Biedrins dominated the paint with 14 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocks, Murphy also had very good all-around night with 15 points, 12 rebs, 5 assists, 5 steals, 3 blocks. Barnes KILLED in the third quarter, mostly getting easy garbage points; he ended up with 24 points, 7 rebounds. Nelson's gameplan was excellent but the execution was also superb as the Warriors frontline kept the Jazz in check and out-worked them the entire game.

I wonder if other teams will use the same strategy the Warriors used?

You think that strategy is going to work that well next time? And that easily? It won't... You can be sure Sloan makes sure of that.
