AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) - Rasheed Wallace and theDetroit Pistons want to continue to build a wall betweenthemselves and division foes.


Wallace and the Pistons aim for their sixth straight win whenthey face the Chicago Bulls on Friday.


Detroit rallied from an early 15-point deficit to defeat the NewOrleans Hornets, 91-76 on Wednesday. Richard Hamilton andChauncey Billups scored 21 and 18 points respectively whileWallace also chipped in with with 13 points and 10 rebounds -his third double-double in 2007-08.


The Pistons, who held the Hornets to an opponent season-low 34.7percent for the game, now lead the Central by 4 1/2 games.

A 13-year veteran, Wallace scored a season-high 36 points in oneof the few Detroit slip-ups, a 97-93 loss to Chicago onNovember 8.


That win was the first for Chicago, who after an 0-4 start werejust 2-10 until winning three of its last four games.

The Bulls overcame an 11-point third-quarter deficit to beatCharlotte 91-82 on Wednesday. Luol Deng scored a season-high 30points and Andres Nocioni had 15 and 11 boards for Chicago,which shot 12-of-18 from the floor in the fourth quarter.

The Bulls have won four of their last five regular-season gamesagainst the Pistons but were knocked out of the 2007 EasternSemifinals in six games by Detroit.

Why will we continually let the Pistons pin Ben Gordon in the corner? You would think Skiles would have figured out not to do that, yet he doesn't learn. Gordon is going to be useless tonight, not because of his own fault, but because of Skiles.</p>
