Johnson hopes to find some running room when the Kansas CityChiefs visit the Bears on Sunday. Tomlinson, the dynamic running back and reigning Most ValuablePlayer for the San Diego Chargers, rushed for just 25 yards on17 carries against the Bears in the opener. Johnson, who finished second in the league behind Tomlinson lastseason with 1,789 rushing yards, may also be in for a longafternoon against the stout Chicago defense, which took a hitwhen free safety Mike Brown and defensive tackle Dusty Dvoraceksuffered season-ending injuries. After holding out for 25 days during training camp beforesecuring a contract extension, Johnson struggled in a 20-3season-opening loss at Houston. He managed just 43 yards on 10carries. The rest of the offense also was abysmal against Chicago. KansasCity managed just 219 total yards and 14 first downs. While their defense played well, the Bears also failed togenerate a touchdown in a 14-3 loss at San Diego. Under heavy pressure for much of the game, Rex Grossmancompleted just 12-of-23 passes for 145 yards and an interceptionwhile also losing a fumble. Like the Chiefs, the Bears also will be looking for productionin the running game after Cedric Benson was limited to 42 yardson 19 carries last Sunday. Kansas City started 0-2 last season, then recovered to make theplayoffs. The Bears are attempting to avoid starting 0-2 for the firsttime since 2003. They won their first seven games last seasonen route to reaching the Super Bowl.
