<h3>Maple Leafs look to rebound against Devils</h3>

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- While the New Jersey Devils aregetting used to their new home, the Toronto Maple Leafs arehoping Newark is no different from East Rutherford.

The Maple Leafs will look for their third straight road win whenthey visit the Devils on Friday.


Toronto has dominated New Jersey over the past two seasons,going 7-1-1 against the Eastern Conference rivals in the lastnine meetings. The Maple Leafs are one of only two teams in theNHL - Vancouver is the other - that owns a winning recordagainst future hall-of-fame goaltender Martin Brodeur, going12-14-7 against him in 35 career starts.


Scoring has not been a problem for Toronto thus far, as it rankssecond in the NHL with 47 goals scored this campaign. Stoppingthe puck, however, has been a huge problem.


The Maple Leafs have allowed 52 goals - the most in the NHL, andgoaltenders Andrew Raycroft - 3.68 - and Vesa Toskala - 3.73 -rank 34th and 35, respectively, in goals-against average amongall netminders who have appeared in at least three games.

Toskala allowed four goals and Raycroft yielded three inToronto's 7-1 loss to Washington on Monday.


The Devils finally made it into their new home, the PrudentialCenter in Newark, last Saturday after beginning the season withnine straight road contests. They dropped their home opener,4-1 to Ottawa, but rebounded to pound Tampa Bay, 6-1, onWednesday.


Veteran left wing Jay Pandolfo notched the first hat trick ofhis 11-year career in the win over the Lightning.


Brodeur has not gotten off to a great start, ranking just ahandful of spots above the Maple Leafs duo at 29th with a 3.02GAA.
